– A Heavily carved solid wood panel in high relief depicting ‘The Last Supper of Jesus and the Twelve Apostles’ from the Christian Bible. Highly detailed carving with very expressive faces and fluid composition, the ebonized wood background and seats create depth and bring the scene to the forefront.
Originally set into an alter.
Circa 17th to 18th century.

Condition: Overall good. With faults commensurate to age – wear and damage to edges, splits to wood in places, missing a finger and a toe. Historic Insect damage.
